Choose Your Own Adventure: What event should you plan for your team?

Posted by Natalie Simmons on May 19, 2021 10:00:00 AM

Decisions, decisions.

Every team has dynamic personalities and varied interests, so sometimes it's tough to figure out what kind of virtual event is fun and engaging for everyone. Trust us: the answer is NOT to just plan something bland and generic. Come along with us, we're going on a Choose Your Own Adventure joyride!

Here's a little story. Your team has been working hard and remotely for some time now. They're feeling a little burnt out and disconnected. They haven't been as energized or motivated as they once were. And it's not that the job has changed. It's that they miss the social interactions and relationships from being in the office together.

You, the hero of this story, have decided to do something about it. You're planning an event that will help bring everyone together, to have fun and enjoy each other's company. Now, you just have to find the right event.

It's time to Choose Your Own Adventure.

Event planners and fun committee pros, we're here to make your lives easier. We don't need to overcomplicate things. Just

1. Does your team need to get to know each other on a more personal level?

It's been a while since you've seen each other. Or maybe you've got a handful of new hires or interns that need quality time with their team.

If yes, we recommend 52 Connections.

We facilitate a series of short and engaging conversations with coworkers, using a deck of cards with custom prompts to help you learn more about each other. It's fun, fast-paced, and allows for more intimate chats than a large group event.

If no, move on to question 2.

2. Does your team love a little healthy competition?

The team is always getting pumped for the latest sporting event, or talking about the winner of Great British Bake-Off. They love the thrill of victory and know how to get into the team spirit.

If yes, we recommend Company Olympics.

We organize your company into teams to compete in silly head-to-head contests. With an Opening Ceremony, invented team anthems, and a podium award celebration, this event is always a high-energy win.

If no, move on to question 3.

3. Does your team need to de-stress a bit?

You've noticed that people are on edge and need a way to let go of some stress. Mental health is so important, and your team could use a reminder and a way to check in with themselves.

If yes, we recommend Paint Night or a Meditation Class.

Let's not talk about work. Let's not even think about it! We'll ship paint supplies directly to your team for an hour of relaxing, facilitated painting. Or, our certified expert will lead a virtual meditation class to help the team decompress and clear their minds.

If no, move on to question 4.

4. Does your team deserve a celebratory toast?

Just finished a big software release? Just closed a round of funding? Just hit a big goal or milestone? Just feel like celebrating the fact that you made it this far?

If yes, we recommend a Mixology Class.

Virtual happy hours are soooooo 2020. But with this incredible mixology class, your team will learn to make cocktails—classic or custom—and get to enjoy the experience of learning and toasting together... Cheers!

If no, move on to question 5.

5. Does your team enjoy the drama of reality TV or the latest Netflix craze?

Is your team always bonding over the latest drama on The Bachelor? Are they filling the Slack channel with funny memes and hot takes on their favorite shows?

If yes, we recommend Who Kidnapped My Boss?

We'll organize everyone into teams in a "whodunnit" style game of logic, puzzles, and good guesses. This game can be customized with your own company's names or use well-known characters from The Office. High drama, low stakes, all fun!

If no, we've still got options!

Still not sure what event is the right one? We've got plenty more options and would love to talk to you about the events you're planning this summer!
