Has your team recently gone through a reorganization, merger, or acquisition? We can relate!
As a result of the pandemic, we’ve had to restructure the way we do business at ZogCulture. Prior to COVID, we were strictly an in-person business. Today, we run both in-person and virtual events with a distributed team of both full-time and hourly employees.
We’ve had to rethink roles, hire new talent, and reassess how we do business. As a result of these changes, we’ve gone through some very tough challenges but now we're stronger than ever.
Through it all, we’ve prioritized maintaining and creating new connections. Here are a few of the things we’re doing that could work for you, too:
- Host in-person companywide gatherings throughout the year. (We have ours next week!)
- Incorporate a 52 Connections prompt into an all-hands meeting.
- Play a virtual team building game. (We listen to our team and only plan these events when it works for everybody’s schedule.)
- Revisit the new hire onboarding process to ensure there’s a personal support system built in for all new employees.
Continuing to invest in creating connections will ultimately create a stronger culture which in turn leads to a stronger business. What more can you do to help facilitate connections among your employees in times of change?
