The What, Why and How of Hybrid Events

Recently, the concept of “hybrid work” has been swirling around the office, and our clients aren't quite sure what that will mean for running company events. Luckily, we're here to help!

What is a Hybrid Event?

A hybrid event is ANY event that serves a workforce working both in-office and remotely. That can mean:

  1. Two events run simultaneously. One for in-office participants and one for folks working remotely.
  2. One event, hosted virtually, where all participants log in via their computers regardless of whether they are in-office or working from home.
  3. One event, hosted in your office for in-office staff, that takes special consideration to also include your staff working remotely.

We know what a challenge it can be to build a cohesive company culture for a hybrid workforce, so we’ve developed three playful solutions.

All three options are staffed with a virtual emcee and virtual event facilitators:

  1. Office Scavenger Hunt
    75 minutes | 30 challenges

Description: Teams made up of in-office and remote employees work together to complete riddles, and media challenges. The quickest and most creative team wins!

Example challenge: Record a member of your team giving a dramatic reading of the company’s website.

*In-person emcee available for NY offices for an additional cost.

  2. ZTV Bingo
    60 minutes | 3 rounds

Description: ZTV Bingo is fun and interactive for all music lovers! You'll sing and dance along with surprise challenges while trying to get a BINGO!

*In-person emcee available for NY offices for an additional cost

  3. 52 Connections
60 minutes | 3 rounds with six connection cards

Description: Participants are dealt a digital card from ZogCulture's 52 Connections deck. Each card contains an activity or prompt designed with the workplace in mind. Guaranteed to spark moments of connection and laughter among coworkers.

Example prompt: If you wrote a book about your day, what would it be titled?

Why should I run a hybrid event?

While hybrid work has many perks and is becoming a priority for many companies, there are challenges to having your employees both in-office and working remotely. Hybrid work makes it more difficult for employees to feel personally connected to their coworkers.

It is more important now than ever to ensure your employees feel connected with one another, whether they are sitting at a desk in your office or at their kitchen table. ZogCulture’s hybrid games prioritize creating personal connections through fun experiences that will keep your company culture strong.

How can ZogCulture create a great hybrid event for my company?
