You're hiring and want to make it less awkward for new employees to get to know their colleagues. Plus, you have coworkers who have been acquainted for years but don't really have a tight bond. We get it!
That's why we developed 52 Connections, our connection-building event for coworkers to get to know one another in a relaxed setting.
52 Connections is all about strengthening relationships among coworkers. Before we get into the nuts and bolts, watch this video to see 52 Connections in action:
Here's How 52 Connections Works
Once participants join—a virtual meeting or an in-person event space—they'll receive a quick primer on how things will go.
We randomly pair-up partners for the first round of conversations and assign them a card from our custom deck of connection prompts. After a few minutes—enough time to answer, but not so much that things get stale—we rotate partners. In between rounds, our facilitators will have the entire group laughing and chatting together. We rinse and repeat until the event concludes!
In essence, 52 Connections is speed dating, but for work colleagues. Instead of awkwardly staring at someone, hoping to vibe, we provide a deck of fun, creative prompts to spark conversations and connection. It works beautifully in both a virtual and in-person setting.
Perhaps the best thing about 52 Connections is that it's great for any group of coworkers, no matter how long they've known each other.
Great For New Employees
52 Connections is perfect when you're bringing on a group of new hires, as part of onboarding, or during an orientation for new interns. By starting with a personal connection activity, your new hires and team will have the chance to learn about each other, share common interests, and bond over their responses.
Learn who has siblings, where others have traveled, or what's on someone's bucket list. 52 Connections offers a rare chance for both a high quality AND a high quantity of interactions!
Great For Longtime Coworkers
Uh-oh. You've known Tatiana from marketing for almost three years, but you have no idea who she really is or what she does outside of work. How the heck can you start that conversation after working together for so long?!
Great news! 52 Connections can refresh the dialogue and give your team a chance to reignite their relationships. It also creates the space to ask questions and dig deeper on a colleague's passions and background.
The purpose of having company events is to get your team feeling more connected on a deeper level so they trust and understand each other. Strong relationships make for a strong company culture and 52 Connections is the event to connect your team.
